How it installs

Add it to your setup and start from the cart: your coding agent works through these steps. You can also follow them by hand.

Create a cloud project

Sign in at cloud.assistant-ui.com, create a project, and copy its Frontend API URL from Settings › General.

Set the base URL

Add the Frontend API URL to the environment: NEXT_PUBLIC_ASSISTANT_BASE_URL on Next.js, VITE_ASSISTANT_BASE_URL on Vite based apps, EXPO_PUBLIC_ASSISTANT_BASE_URL on Expo, ASSISTANT_BASE_URL on Ink. Next.js apps then get an anonymous cloud client on their own; the others pass one to the runtime.

Add the thread list

Install the ThreadList component next to your Thread and render both inside the existing AssistantRuntimeProvider.
